How much advanced notice is needed to schedule a ride?

We will pick you up as soon as possible but many factors influence pick up times.  Be aware that the first few days of the month tend to be especially busy. The weather and road conditions can also be a factor.

Yates Dial-A-Ride offers service to all 14 townships in Lake County:

Elk, Eden, Newkirk, Dover, Sauble, Peacock, Ellsworth, Sweetwater, Webber, Cherry Valley, Pinora, Lake, Pleasant Plains, Yates, & Chase

Standard Fare

​Lake County Adults: $1.00

All other counties: $2.00

 

 

 


Reduced Fare

Baldwin School Students: $0.75

Seniors/Persons with disabilities (peak hours): $0.75

Seniors/Persons with disabilities (non-peak hours): $0.75

Children under 5: Free

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service does not have complementary paratransit, because it is door-to-door/curb-to-curb demand response service, not fixed route.

Several of Yates Dial-A-Ride are wheelchair ramp equipped. Ask for this service when scheduling your ride if it is needed.

What age is considered a “Senior” to qualify for a reduced bus fare?

To qualify for a reduced senior fare, you must be 60 years of age.

How Can I Get a Disability/Reduced Fare ID Card?

You will need to get the proper paperwork completed by your physician. Please call us at 231.745.7311 and ask for more information.

Baldwin Schools Students must register to qualify for reduced fare.

The Transportation Registration Form can be filled out on-line, printed or picked up at Yates Dial-A-Ride:1987 East US 10 in Idlewild during business hours. Forms are located right outside the lobby door on the stone pillar.  Completed forms can be placed in the outdoor drop box.
