Call-In Rides to Groceries Hours:

  • Monday-Saturday 6:30 am to 10:30 pm
  • Sunday 9:30 am to 7:00 pm

 

Method/Rules for Scheduling a Ride

Call a Your Ride Service Center for demand response, curb-to-curb service, or use the East Court route to go between the MTA Northrup-Abrams Transportation Center and Walmart.

Operating Area

Ride to Groceries services Genesee County residents who don’t have access to MTA’s primary fixed routes with  reaching the grocery store through a call-in service and a limited access bus route.

  • Demand response call in service through Your Ride Service Centers serve Clio, Davison, Fenton, Flushing, Flint East, Flint West, Grand Blanc, Mt. Morris, Otisville and Swartz Creek
  • The East Court Route service will operate between the MTA Northrup-Abrams Transportation Center and the Court Street Walmart.

Fares

Standard Fare

Regular East Court Route Fare (Same as MTA Fixed Route fare): $1.75 each way

Regular Call-In Rides to Groceries Fare (Same as MTA Your Ride fare): $3.50 each way


Reduced Fare

Reduced East Court Route Fare (Same as MTA Fixed Route fare): $0.85

Reduced Call-In Rides to Groceries Fare (Same as MTA Your Ride fare): $2.25

  • Seniors (65+)
  • Medicare Cardholders
  • ADA Certified Persons with Disabilities

Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

Passengers who cannot access a fixed route, including the East Court, Ride to Grocery route may call a Your Ride Service Center for demand response, curb-to-curb service. This may be due to a disability or mobility impairment, or because you live outside a fixed route service area. The fixed route and Your Ride buses are lift equipped and accessible to individuals with disabilities. Please see MTA Your Ride for information about paratransit service if you are unable to used fixed route service due to a disability or mobility impairment.

Seniors (65+) and Medicare Cardholders may show their identification or a Medicare card to receive reduced fare.

Individuals with disabilities must complete the MTA Eligibility Card Application to be eligible for a reduced fare MTA Ride to Grocery Service. (Please note, this is a separate application from the ADA Certification application). This application requires a portion to be filled out by a health or agency professional and additional information describing the individual’s disability to be submitted on a doctor’s script or letterhead of the agency.
