The OCCOA provides volunteer driving transportation for seniors (age 60+) who need transportation to and from medical appointments outside of Oceana County. Those rides aren’t provided by OCCOA buses and bus drivers but by volunteer drivers in their private cars or by paratransit for wheelchair recipients only. Please call (231) 873-4461 x 101 to schedule an Out-of-County transport, or call (231) 873-4461 x 107 for general information. All call-ins to schedule a ride must be done at least 2 business days in advance.
The normal cost for this service is $0.25 per mile. People with income at 150% of poverty level ($1,300/month single or $2,100/month couple) would be asked to pay $0.15 per mile.
