  • Monday through Friday: 5:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Method/Rules for Scheduling a Ride

You must first register for PASS eligibility to use this service. Eligibility requires that you live more than one-third of a mile from a fixed route bus line. To register for PASS eligibility, click here. Registration may take up to 5 days to process.

Once processed, call 616-459-7701 to schedule your rides. Scheduling calls must be made no later than 4:30 pm the day before your trip and no sooner than 14 days in advance. On Saturday and Sunday, call between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Ride scheduling is first-come, first-served.

Operating Area

Passenger Adaptive Suburban Service (PASS) is a suburban feeder shuttle that transports passengers from their curb to The Rapid fixed-route system. If you live more than one-third of a mile off a bus line in Kent County.

Standard Fare

$3.50

(includes transfer to a fixed route bus.)

Reduced Fare

Children under 42 inches tall ride free with a fare-paying adult

There is no reduced fare for this service. $3.50 is the fare for all passengers.

Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

There is no complementary paratransit for this service because it is a curb-to-curb service, not fixed route. There is also no reduced fare option for this service. All passengers (except children under 42 inches tall) must pay $3.50, including those with disabilities and seniors.


Transit Service Accessibility

This is a curb-to-curb service that is open to the general public as well as individuals with disabilities. Like all of TheRapid fixed-route buses, all PASS vehicles are wheelchair accessible.


Additional Notes

PASS service is only for those who live more than one-third of a mile from one of TheRapid’s fixed route bus lines. If you need curb-to-curb service due to a disability and live less than one-third of a mile from a fixed route bus line, please see TheRapid GO!Bus service.
