SSR Flexible Routes
Straits Regional Ride (SRR)Hours of Operation
Hours of Operation vary by route. You can view the route schedules on the second/inside page of the SRR brochure. The Cheboygan-Mackinaw-Petoskey schedule is also available to download or print here.
Method/Rules for Scheduling a RideCall 231-597-9262 or 231-597-0175, or toll free at 1-866-731-1204 Monday through Friday 6:00 am – 5:00 pm to schedule rides. Let them know if “you have special needs”/need accommodations.
The SRR buses run flexible routes with selected stops for your convenience in many communities along each route. Because routes are subject to change, it is important that you call 24 hours in advance to find out times and locations of a bus stop in your community.

SRR also coordinates with Cheboygan Dial-A-Ride to connect riders with their transit services and runs a Dial-A-Ride service within Petoskey.

Standard Fare
Ages 4-59
- 0-4.99 miles: $4.00
- 5.0-19.99 miles: $5.00
- 20-34.99 miles: $6.00
- 35+ miles: $8.00
Reduced Fare
Seniors (60+), eligible persons with disabilities, and children ages 1-4:
0-4.99 miles: $2.00
5.0-19.99 miles: $2.50
20-34.99 miles: $3.00
35+ miles: $4.00
Infants under 1 year old ride free
Accessibility & Eligibility
Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility
SRR buses are equipped to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. Eligibility for complementary paratransit and disability reduced fare is determined based on completion of the SRR Special Services application. This application requires certification by a medical physician, physical or occupational
therapist, mental health therapist or rehabilitation professional.
Transit Service Accessibility
This is a curb-to-curb, flexible route service that may deviate from the route to pick people up or drop them off. Therefore, there is no complementary paratransit for this service. SRR buses are equipped to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility equipment and are accessible for people with disabilities as well as being open to the general public.
