Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service does not have complementary paratransit because it is a curb-to-curb, origin-to-destination service, not fixed route. Lift-equipped vehicles are available to wheelchair and other mobility device users. People with disabilities and seniors are prioritized for BMTA Bay DART. To qualify, individuals must show proof of disability or age in-person or mail/fax a copy of proof of disability. The following will be accepted as proof of disability:

– Proof of being SSI recipient
– Medicare Card or proof of being Medicare recipient
– Proof of age or disability from other transit agency
– Other State or Federal document showing proof of disability

ADA Certification for the BMTA fixed route paratransit can also be used for proof of disability: DART/ADA Certification Application

Transit Service Accessibility

This is a curb-to-curb, demand response service provided in accessible lift/ramp equipped vehicles. The service is open to the general public but seniors and riders with disabilities are given priority. Others may schedule rides only after all senior/disability demands are met.
