The Information and Referral (I&R) Department serves thousands of people each year. I&R is the first point of contact for DRM callers.

Our goal is to answer your questions about disability issues on civil rights, special education, where to find help and services, help with abuse/neglect, provide non-legal advice and much more. Also, we provide our clients with referrals to service providers, governmental agencies, civil rights groups, and attorneys.

We are committed to providing specific in-person information and advice to every person who contacts us.

If the problem you are calling us about fits within DRM’s current focus areas, I&R staff will interview you and gather information from you.

We then send this information to the right department at DRM to decide if your matter will be accepted or not for investigation, direct advocacy, or legal representation.

Our services are free of charge and confidential.

IT ALL STARTS WITH I&R!
