Cut the Red Tape,        Not the Care.

Michigan’s Medicaid behavioral health system is failing the people it’s meant to serve. Layers of unnecessary bureaucracy, lack of oversight, and financial conflicts of interest prevent Medicaid recipients from getting the care they need.

Our overview document breaks down the key issues with the current system and offers real solutions for reform. We call for accountability, transparency, and a Medicaid system that puts people over paperwork.

Read our OVERVIEW DOCUMENT to learn how Michigan can create a system that prioritizes care.

Let’s Push for Reform, Together.

Join our coalition of partners calling for a behavioral health system that puts people first. We believe care should be timely, transparent, and accessible—without unnecessary administrative barriers.

Competitive Procurement

Statement in Support of Competitive Procurement

The undersigned applaud the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ decision to move to a competitive procurement process for Michigan’s Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans. While this is a positive step toward increased accountability and improved service delivery, we believe that the Department should go further. To that end, we have provided our respective position statements to the Department. We invite beneficiaries and providers to complete the online survey linked in the Department’s press release, and to contact us for more information about our position statements.
