Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service does not have complementary paratransit because it is a door-to-door, demand response service, not fixed route. It is accessible to people with disabilities or mobility challenges as well as being open to the general public.

Reduced fare eligibility based on Reduced Fare Card Program application. Part A asks for basic identification information, Part B is for senior certification, and Part C defines the nature of an applicant’s disability and must be filled out by a physician or caseworker from an agency. Dowagiac Dial-A-Ride coordinates service with Cass County Public Transit and participates in the Michigan Universal Reduced Fare Card program.

Transit Service Accessibility

This is a door-to-door service and buses are lift/ramp equipped. Service is accessible to those with disabilities as well as being open to the general public.
