Standard Fare

Within Buchanan city limits up to 1 mile outside city limits:

• Ages 13-59: $1.50 one way
• Students (with valid student ID): $1.00 one way

Outside Buchanan city limits beyond 1 mile:

• Ages 13 – 59: $4.00 one way
• Students (with valid student ID): $1.00 one way

Reduced Fare

• Within Buchanan city limits up to 1 mile outside city limits: $0.75 one way
• Outside Buchanan city limits beyond 1 mile: $2.00 one way

Available for:

• Seniors (60+)
• Persons with Disabilities
• Children ages 2 – 12

Children 1 year and younger: Free with paying adult

Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service does not have complementary paratransit because it is curb-to-curb, origin-to-destination service, not fixed route. Lift equipped vehicles are available to wheelchair or other mobility device users.

Buchanan Dial-A-Ride and the other public transportation agencies in Berrien County participate in the Michigan Universal Reduced Fare Card program. Application requires either proof of Social Security Disability, Medicare, or a physician or agency caseworker certification. Senior reduced fare only requires ID with proof of age (60 and over).

Transit Service Accessibility

This is a curb-to-curb, origin-to-destination service. Lift/ramp equipped vehicles are available. Service is accessible to people with disabilities as well as being open to the general public.
