Out of county medical transportation is available for seniors or persons with disability by special request to Calhoun, Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa and Van Buren

Senior and Disability Volunteer Driver Program

  • Operates in all of Allegan County
  • Must be a senior or person with a disability to use, must also be a resident of Allegan County
  • Operation Hours are 5:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday-Friday and 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays
  • Ride requests must be made within 3 business days of the trip. Ride request will be added to the schedule and passengers can expect a call from the office two business days prior to the trip date with information pertaining to their request.
  • When the trip is scheduled with a public transit vehicle, passenger must call office by noon (12PM) one business day in advance of the ride, and call after 4:00pm, to find out pick up time.
  • Transportation is available to medical, legal and nutritional appointments, grocery shopping and errands.
  • One way ride fare is $1.00 (people with disabilities and seniors only)
