Operating Area

The Twin Cities Area Transportation Authority (TCATA) provides curb to curb same day services within the City of Benton Harbor, St Joseph, Benton Township, and to and from the Royalton Township medical offices.

Trips that begin within the City of Benton Harbor:

From the City of Benton Harbor to Benton Township and St. Joseph:

Trips that begin in Benton Township, City of St. Joseph and St. Joseph Township (49022 mailing address) and end in the City of Benton Harbor: 

• • Non-Benton Harbor Resident Adults under 60: $3.00
  • Benton Harbor Resident Adults under 60:  $2.00
  • Non-Benton Harbor Resident Youth ages 1-11: $2.00
  • Benton Harbor Resident Youth ages 1-11: $1.00

From City of Benton Harbor to Royalton Township:

Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service does not have complementary paratransit because it is curb-to-curb, origin-to-destination service, not fixed route. Lift equipped vehicles are available to wheelchair or other mobility device users.

Berrien Bus, Buchanan Dial-A-Ride, Niles Dial-A-Ride, and Twin Cities Area Transportation Authority (TCATA) all participate in the Universal Reduced Fare Card program. Paratransit/reduced fare eligibility is determined by filling out the Universal Reduced Fare Card application, which requires either proof of Social Security Disability, Medicare, or a physician or agency caseworker certification.

Transit Service Accessibility

TCATA Demand Response service is a curb-to-curb, origin-to-destination service. Lift/ramp equipped vehicles are available and service is accessible to riders with disabilities as well as being open to the general public.
