Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service does not have complementary paratransit because it is a door-to-door/curb-to-curb, origin to destination service, not fixed route. Lift-equipped vehicles are available for wheelchair and other mobility device users.

Though no info is given about reduced fare eligibility on the transit agency website, reduced fare is available for individuals with disabilities, seniors, minors, and veterans. Seniors may show identification verifying they are 65 or older for reduced fare or free rides if they are age 80 and above. Veterans may also show Veteran identification for free ride eligibility. Students/minors may show student identification.

There is no formal application for disability-reduced fare. A doctor’s note or letter explaining disability or a letter from Social Security or other government entity verifying disability can be used for verification if requested.

This transit agency is also a Michigan Universal Reduced Fare Card participant.

Transit Service Accessibility

Standard in-county demand response service is door-to-door, unless the driveway cannot accommodate a bus in which the vehicle will go to the nearest curb. Only two vehicles are not lift/ramp equipped out of nine buses in the fleet. Tell dispatcher if you need a lift/ramp equipped vehicle when scheduling your ride.

Additional Notes

Out of county transfers are available through Arenac Public Transportation Authority’s County Transfer service, which is listed as a separate service of this transit agency.
